The Love Dare Book

This book is the instrumental tool used to heal the marriage in the movie Fireproof.

The Husband Project – 21 Days to Loving Your Husband with a Purpose and a Plan by Kathi Lipp

I love this book! The author focuses on the fact that regardless of the state of our marriage, all we really have control of are our own actions. She has put together a 21 day sample plan that is easy to customize.

What Could He Be Thinking? How a Man’s Mind Really Works by Michael Gurian

A fascinating look by a brain scientist at how the physical differences in men’s brains explain many of the differences in the way they behave.

The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands by Dr. Laura Schlessinger

As usual, Dr. Laura goes after her topic in a direct manner, urging women to overcome their blind spots about how they relate to the men in their lives. Excellent book.

No More Headaches: Enjoying Sex and Intimacy in Marriage by Dr. Julianna Slattery

As a researcher, I have a dilemma. I can investigate and explain the starting points that women need to know about their husbands (for example, how much sexual affirmation transforms a man and his marriage), but then I must find others to help each woman go further. Yet it is hard to find good and trustworthy resources. This book hits the mark in a big way; I highly recommend it to anyone who needs real-world yet compassionate answers on how to handle the confusion, hurt, disappointments and just old-fashioned differences about this sensitive subject that affects every single marriage.
