    ByShaunti Feldhahn December 15, 2016October 26, 2017

While doing some research for my next book, I realized something important: when we are angry, most of us handle it wrong! Proof that Church Attendance Matters

    ByShaunti Feldhahn December 8, 2016September 29, 2017

I don’t have a lot of pet peeves. But one of the few is when people quote the old urban legend, “Well, you know, the rate of divorce is the same in the church.” Which is one I debunked in my 2014 book, The Good News About Marriage. Really, any urban legend gets under my…

I haven’t found a single man who does. And this vast difference points just how clueless we women can be about something that has…

The Canadian Video to America That Made Me Cry – And What We Can Learn From It

    ByShaunti Feldhahn October 19, 2016

Have you heard the joke: How does someone from Canada cheat on a test?  They secretly write on the palm of their hand, “You can do it!” Our neighbors to the north are an unusually open, honest, nice, kind bunch. No one is perfect, but as a whole Canadians are just a friendly people. And…

Two reasons why he walks away from an emotional conversation

    ByShaunti Feldhahn October 4, 2016

A reader recently asked: “Why does my boyfriend always seem to RUN from a conflict?  Well, not so much conflict, as emotion.   When things get intense, especially if I start crying, I need resolution –but he’s heading out the door.  I try to keep him there, but he says he needs space and leaves. …

The start of Lent is just one day. But it is one d The start of Lent is just one day. But it is one day that we can ask ourselves: Do my outward actions match my inner relationship with Christ and the fact that the Holy Spirit lives in me?
As we head into this Lenten season, I want to ask As we head into this Lenten season, I want to ask you something gently and personally: is God drawing your heart back to Him? Maybe life has been full, or heavy, or simply distracting—and you sense you're not as close to Him as you'd like to be.

This Lent, our team is partnering with Hallow to invite you into something intentional and life-giving: a 40-day prayer journey back to the heart of the Father. We're setting aside these weeks leading up to Easter to intentionally draw closer to the Lord through daily prayer.

I'll never forget my first Ash Wednesday mark. As I'll never forget my first Ash Wednesday mark.

As I walked around with a cross of ashes on my forehead, it hit me: my faith wasn't just internal anymore—people could see it.
And that meant my actions reflected on Jesus, too.

That's one reason I love Lent.
