  1. Your book For Women Only almost destroyed me. It’s extremely discriminating and inflammatory with a strong emphasis on the way a woman should look to be sexually attractive to her husband. If she is overweight he silently finds her disgusting. I did gain weight because of an emergency hysterectomy because I couldn’t stop bleeding after my last miscarriage. This health setback through me into early menopause and depression. Menopause brings with it unwanted weight gain and so does the depression medication. Reading this book made me stop my meds, go on appetite suppressants, pushed me into running to get fit until I had stress fractures in both my feet, which put me further into a health decline and quickly spiraling into suicidal thoughts and a mental breakdown. All the while I stayed silent during this severe inner-battle because I felt ashamed about my weight! BECAUSE I thought my husband perceived me as fat and disgusting BECAUSE of HER BOOK!!! He did not think that way at all, and by the grace of God brought me back to life. Stay away from this awful book, it’s NOT uplifting or empowering at all and definitely not based on BIBLICAL values because it degrades women to the low level of “must be skinny like a teenager” (and she herself is not) and it doesn’t fit in with God’s design of unconditional love, respect in a marriage, which was His perfect will on what a healthy relationship between husband and wife should be. As Jesus loved the church and visa versa. Her talk on Focus on the Family about this ungodly worldly view should also be banned. It’s extremely dangerous because it can force countless godly women, just like me, down a self-hatred harmful road… I will not stay silent about this anymore, others must be warned!
