Okay, I just had to post this update to this morning’s blog. My kids were delighted with the snow day of cancelled school, but highly disappointed that the snowstorm is providing neighborhoods at our latitude only intermittent big fluffy snowflakes and ice, and rain at all other times. They were determined to get the most…

Reflections on a city that doesn't know how to handle snow.

    ByShaunti Feldhahn February 25, 2015

Remember February 2014 when Atlanta was the laughingstock of the country for having citywide gridlock, with tens of thousands of cars stranded on the roads overnight, because of an inch or two of ice and snow? Atlanta sure does! We call that embarrassing episode Snowmageddon, and every Atlanta resident has their own story of that…

The start of Lent is just one day. But it is one d The start of Lent is just one day. But it is one day that we can ask ourselves: Do my outward actions match my inner relationship with Christ and the fact that the Holy Spirit lives in me?
As we head into this Lenten season, I want to ask As we head into this Lenten season, I want to ask you something gently and personally: is God drawing your heart back to Him? Maybe life has been full, or heavy, or simply distracting—and you sense you're not as close to Him as you'd like to be.

This Lent, our team is partnering with Hallow to invite you into something intentional and life-giving: a 40-day prayer journey back to the heart of the Father. We're setting aside these weeks leading up to Easter to intentionally draw closer to the Lord through daily prayer.

I'll never forget my first Ash Wednesday mark. As I'll never forget my first Ash Wednesday mark.

As I walked around with a cross of ashes on my forehead, it hit me: my faith wasn't just internal anymore—people could see it.
